Major law firm seeks a Legal Technology Software Engineer for their NY office.  2-5 years experience preferred.  Must have a Computer Science degree.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet with team members and end-users to establish software requirements.
  • Prepare analysis of processes and requirements.
  • Consult with team members regarding design and implementation of application.
  • Create databases and application interfaces based on analysis of requirements within established guidelines.
  • Write high performance code using established coding standards.

eDiscovery Analyst (LA)

The Project Coordinator provides project support to Project Managers and Directors on all case specific timelines, processes and protocols.  This position works as part of the PMO to apply quality control protocols, utilize best practices and consistently apply standards in order to meet client, budget and time deadlines. This position works alongside Project Managers, Directors and Managing Directors throughout the various phases of the e-Discovery lifecycle ensuring adequate communication between teams and with clients.
Essential Functions:

Litigation Support Project Manager (DC)

The Project Manager will support individual case teams using litigation technologies as well as maintaining and supporting Firm standard litigation support applications (Concordance and Concordance FYI, Opticon, LiveNote, Casemap, Clearwell and Sanction).  Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Sr. eDiscovery Specialist: Boston

The Senior eDiscovery Specialist is responsible for taking a lead role in the business development, consultation, training and delivery of eDiscovery services to firm attorneys, paralegals and clients. The Sr. eDiscovery Specialist is an independent thinker who develops eDiscovery plans for complex litigation and government investigations. The Sr. eDS functions as a senior level eDiscovery consultant and project manager. The Sr. eDS will require a solid understanding of Firm practices and business direction as well as advanced familiarity with eDiscovery best practices.

Responsibilities:

REGIONAL LITIGATION SUPPORT SPECIALIST: San Diego

This role reports to the Director of  Litigation Support and acts as technical consultant and case manager for both internal and external clients in the Specialist’s region where clients are using litigation support tools for the collection, management, production and presentation of evidentiary materials.  This role works under the supervision of the Senior Litigation Support Manager to develop and maintain a working knowledge of the changing laws pertaining to eDiscovery.  This individual will act as the primary liaison between internal and external clients and the Litigation Support National Data Center to insure that eDiscovery processes follow the firm’s Best Practices for the Management of Electronic Evidence as it pertains to eDiscovery for clients especially with regard to: records management, identification, preservation/collection, processing/review/analysis, production and presentation.  The role will also involve technical consulting and Litigation Support Project Management.  This individual will work closely with eDiscovery counsel and the litigation support directors to develop a knowledge in and role as an eDiscovery  consultant for clients and will interview and advise clients in the identification and collection of electronic evidence.  This role will also support attorneys and paralegals in use of the firm’s primarily review platform, Relativity.  They will also help educate attorneys and paralegals about the National Data Center’s organization and Relativity.   They will also serve as the conduit for accepting evidentiary media/data from clients and following chain of custody protocols.  They will also advise attorneys and paralegals on best practices and methodologies for the review of evidence, and work with the litigation support training specialists to insure attorneys and paralegals in their region understand the review technologies.  There may also be some trial-related tasks including consulting and ensuring folks are trained on the most up-to-date technologies.  This role also supports LiveNote real-time deposition transcription technology and national transcript repositories.  This individual also serves as regional liaison overseeing outside vendors/experts for large processing jobs, forensic projects and contract review projects.

 

Requirements:

  • At least five years experience in a litigation support position.
  • Experience with courtroom presentation tools.
  • Strong familiarity with litigation support applications such as Relativity, TrialDirector, CaseMap and TimeMap as well as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access, their design, importing/exporting data, providing technical support to end-users.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Act and work independently, handle interruptions and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Be able to exercise independent judgement within parameters determined by senior litigation support managers and the attorneys managing their cases.
